Getting ready for winter!

Can’t believe how fast this year is going! It feels like yesterday that we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary, or getting over how hot we were during the 2 month long heatwave! Anyway, now the nights are closing in, and there’s that constant chill in the air, here at Baldry’s Grasmere, we’re getting ready for winter!

Japan – Round 2!

At the moment, Alison and Harriet are busy making our famous scones and lemon meringue pie over in Japan. This is the 2nd time we’ve been invited to go over there, to set up a 5 day ‘pop-up shop’ to produce and sell our famous produce! This year they are based at the Mitsukoshi department store in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Take a look at our social media accounts to keep up-to-date with their latest goings on, there will be some blog posts about the trip as well!

Food and drink!

Now that half term is coming to an end, we can begin thinking about some of the specials we’ll be having on throughout the winter season. We have recently just trialed a limited edition espresso blend, produced by our coffee supplier Farrers. ‘Fawkes Fire’ was a huge hit with customers, who loved the smokey aroma the coffee gave off. We’re looking forward to getting their Christmas tea and coffee’s back on the specials, so that we can really get into the festive spirit!

A firm favourite with some of our regular customers, corned beef hash pie has made it’s way back onto the specials every now and again. We currently also have a rarebit special, and a sticky toffee pudding to indulge yourself in as well!
