Baldry’s Vegetable Garden

This year, Baldry’s Vegetable Garden has been expanded to include an extra vegetable bed, letting us grow even more and better vegetables than last year! Our first year could be seen as a taster of whats to come in the next few years. Head gardener, Adam, is constantly learning, growing and harvesting vegetables which have been used throughout the year on salads and special’s.

Whats been grown?

Last year we mainly grew radishes, lettuce and beetroot, a great variety of vegetables to learn with, but something we knew we could expand this year. Our extra bed has been took up by a wide-range of tomatoes, which have had all year to grow, and are just being harvested now. As well as this, some huge carrots have been harvested, looking great on salads this summer!

We started the year with a new greenhouse as well, allowing new seeds planted, to be protected from the traditional Lake District weather. This was great for the start of the different vegetables growth.
